The new owner could be dealing with it right now. I never had the screen issues with the G, not to say that it was immune to it.

I bought the Juno GI as a direct replacement for my Juno G. I'm really wide open to any idea at this point - if I didn't need some sort of portability I'd just use it as is to play soft synths through Live I'm most familiar with Roland and Yamaha but I'm certainly interested in opinions for other keyboards as well. I like the onboard sequencer becuase I travel a lot and I can take it with me for those "long lonely evenings in dark hotel rooms" we all croon about and my "studio" setup isn't portable. Jam/perform a dozen times/year with friends for fun (sounds like that really bad comfortably numb cover.) at picnics and birthday parties. Set up in various rooms around the house to a) play with the piano b) dance club for my daughter and her friends c) jam with my sons and their guitars/drums/etc. Ocassionally dabling with the effects but not really creating patches. Noodling at home with presets:) (EPs, pads, some of the strings layed over some of the kyes), layering, splits, the ARP. What I like about the Juno (how I use it/features I'm looking for) Following that reasoning, would I be better off purching an older "high end" board rather than fixing the Juno, then fixing it again.? My price cap is $1000 us. It was suggested in another topic that this level of build quality is a problem that the "entry level" boards have across all makes (perhaps Roland especially, but not for purposes of this post) and that the higher end products are better in this regard.

For that matter, even Roland confirmed that. The internet indicates that the repair is not a guarenteed fix of the problem and the local repair center confirmed that there have been repeat failures. It appears that it will cost me about $300 to replace the screen on my Juno G. This is a serious post, I'm done complaining and I want to get back to making music.
